Built in the eighteenth century to house Jewish communities, the Ghetto was actually chosen by fishermen and laborers from the southern territories of the Church State, so it is thought that its name rather indicates the abbreviation of “Borghetto”.
The neighborhood revolves around Antonio Fratti square and Via Enrico Toti, where in recent years have multiplied wine bars, pubs, clubs, with outdoor and indoor tables. The neighborhood is very lively during the day, because it is full of shops of various kinds.
