Popularly called by the citizens of Civitavecchia “I Cappuccini”, the Church of San Felice da Cantalice is located in the upper part of the city, once located outside the wall. With its annexed convent, equipped with a beautiful cloister, it still houses a small community of Capuchin friars who work very actively inside the church. Built from 1713 it was dedicated to the first Saint of the Capuchins canonized a year before In its architectural simplicity, the church preserves the bones of a young martyr, Santa Costanza, that the builder, Giulio Pazzaglia, has taken from the Roman catacombs to give more prestige to the parish. Also noteworthy are the altarpieces, especially the main one where the Madonna is represented who has the Child Jesus in the presence of Santa Fermina, patron saint of the city of Civitavecchia.
