The film is based on the novel of the same name by Donatella di Pierantonio.
Summer 1975. A thirteen-year-old girl is returned to the family she didn’t know she belonged to, becoming, without wanting to, “the little girl” that is, the one who returned. Suddenly she loses everything about her previous life and is transported to a completely foreign world.
